Recently the Liverpool FC International Academy UAE entered an under 10 team in to the Dubai Fitness Festival tournament, an event aimed at promoting health and fitness across the city.
On November 4th at the Skydive Dubai setting the LFC International Academy took to the pitch in an eight team tournament with the objective of taking the development of the young players to the next level and providing a platform for them to showcase the skills they have been working hard to improve on their LFC coaching programme.
Liverpool FC International Academy UAE was joined by Desert Rangers, IJF Academy, Alliance Football Academy, Elite Football Academy and the Future Stars Academy in what proved to be a very successful outing for the junior Reds.
LFC coaches Colin Wilson and Simon Smith were impressed by the whole experience. According to Simon: “It was a great day for the players and coaches, and it was nice to see the players put what they had learnt during training into competitive matches. The players represented Liverpool FC fantastically.”
Colin added: “The boys did themselves and our program proud. Their attitude and commitment was brilliant throughout and they acquitted themselves very well against some of the best youth teams in Dubai.”
“We are looking to add more of these competitions to our programme as they provide our players with a really valuable platform of game time. This enables our coaching curriculum and philosophy to have an even greater impact on the development of our players, both on and off the pitch. The young players here in Dubai are really enjoying learning how to play the Liverpool way.”
LFC coaching sessions are available at the following locations in Dubai:
