No.7: Ray Kennedy
In some ways, Ray Kennedy is an anomaly in this list - he never actually played for Shankly! The Arsenal forward was the Scot's parting gift to the Reds, signing for the club on exactly the same day that the boss announced his resignation as manager. After being moulded into a left midfield player by Bob Paisley, Kennedy thrived during seven years at Anfield in which he collected three European Cups, five league titles, one League Cup and one UEFA Cup.
