Serie A outfit Fiorentina are planning a move for Liverpool's Emiliano Insua.
According to reports in Italy, La Viola are targeting the left-back alongside a swoop for Napoli centre-half Fabiano Santacroce as they look to strengthen their back line.
Insua faced Fiorentina twice last season during Liverpool's Champions League Group E campaign and finished on the losing side on both occasions but Siniša Mihajlović is believed to be a keen admirer of the 21-year-old's abilities.
The Argentina international, who was omitted from Diego Maradona's World Cup squad, arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2007 from Boca Juniors and became a regular in Liverpool's starting line-up due to Fabio Aurelio's persistent injuries.
