Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is ready to push ahead with moves for Marco Reus and Dejan Lovren while also rekindling his long-term interest in Chelsea full-back Ryan Bertrand.
Rodgers' side finished as runners-up in the Premier League and, according to the Daily Mirror, the former Reading and Swansea City head-coach has isolated Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus as the ideal choice to compliment a strike force which hit the back of the net on 101 occasions last term.
Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga champions, are also keen on Reus and are confident on securing his services but Liverpool's reemergence as a force in European football makes them an attractive option also.
The move for Lovren, on the other hand, should be a decidedly less complex affair once a fee is agreed with Southampton. Ronald Koeman, the Saints manager, is holding out for over £20m after already losing Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana to Mersyside.
Rodgers has been an admirer of Bertrand, who spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, since their time together in the Chelsea academy.
The Kop squad is currently in Boston, where Loic Remy is also set to complete a medical later this week.
