Liverpool will be given the option next year to make Aly Cissokho's transfer permanent for £4m, as the defender's loan move to England gathers pace, according to Spanish daily Marca.
Valencia are reportedly asking Liverpool for a £1m fee for Cissokho's loan deal, and the Reds are set to be given the purchase option.
The 25-year-old boasts experience with French side Lyon as well as Portugese outfits FC Porto and Vitoria Setubal, while he joined Valencia last season.
Liverpool are keen to shore up their defensive capabilities on the flanks, and Cissokho could provide a healthy option on the left.
He has admitted a liking for the Premier League and Brendan Rodgers' team will offer a much more regular berth for the France international.
Cissokho managed just 18 league starts last season, but did play in seven Champions League games for Valencia.
While he has earned just the one senior cap with France, Cissokho will be hopeful of forcing his way back into the national fold thanks to the loan spell in England.
