Metro: Alberto's agent confirms talks

Sevilla forward Luis Alberto has moved a step closer to joining Liverpool after his agent confirmed talks have taken place over a potential transfer.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is believed to have made Alberto a top target after completing deals for Kolo Toure and Iago Aspas.

And despite speculation this week that the move might be off, Alberto's agent has revealed a switch to Merseyside is edging closer.

'The reports about Liverpool's interest are true, they are very interested,' he told the Spanish press.

'There have been talks, and if a good offer comes a deal will be found.'
