Liverpool have joined Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the transfer race for Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca.

The Reds are understood to be monitoring the 28-year-old Colombian who is thought to be available to for a fee in the region of £18millon.

Brendan Rodgers is keen to add more goals to his side this summer.

Nevertheless, he will face a battle with Spurs to secure Bacca, as Mauricio Pochettino is a huge admirer of the player and is also keen to add goals to his side this summer after losing patience with Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado.
