Metro: Reds ready bid for Atletico striker

Liverpool are ready to offer over £8.5million for Atletico Madrid striker Angel Correa, according to reports.

Correa, 20, joined Atletico from San Lorenzo last summer, and has already found the net in the Champions League and La Liga this season.

And according to TMW, Liverpool are ready to table a bid in excess of £8.5m for the South American, although they will likely face competition from PSG and Manchester City for his signature.

Standing at just 5ft8 but with a strong, powerful playing style, Correa has drawn comparisons with his compatriots Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez, and has even been tipped to become one of the best players in Europe by his Atletico teammate Diego Godin.
