Metro: Reds start talks for Hummels

Liverpool have started talks with Borussia Dortmund over a deal to sign centre-back Mats Hummels, according to reports.

Jurgen Klopp managed Hummels during his time in charge of the Bundesliga outfit and is keen to bring the 26-year-old to Anfield.

Itasportpress say that negotiations have already begun between the Reds and Dortmund over a potential move for the World Cup winning defender.

It's understood Hummels is less than happy with new Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel which could help the Merseyside club push through a deal.

Manchester United are also interested in the world-renowned Germany star.
