Liverpool are ready to resurrect their pursuit of Greece international defender Kyriakos Papadopolous.

Boss Rodgers has long pursed the Schalke defender, but a troubling knee injury at the end of last season, persuaded him to defer a bid for the £12m-rated player.

Now though, the Greek defender, 21, has recovered sufficiently from the problem to be confident of passing any medical.
