Express: Defender to undergo medical

Southampton defender Dejan Lovren is set to undergo a medical at Liverpool over the weekend after the two clubs agreed a £20m fee.

The centre-back was one of Southampton's key performers last season after joining from Lyon a year ago, and has since been linked with a move to a bigger side.

The Saints have already lost Adam Lallana (£25m) and Rickie Lambert (£4m) to the Anfield side this summer, while also cashing in on Luke Shaw (£27m) to Manchester United.

And Lovren looks set to become the fourth man to head through the St Mary's exit door this transfer window, taking the club's total incomings to £76m.
